Brake and Lux Testing
Brake testing is important and crucial to conduct so as to foresee, minimize and possibly avoid unseen brake failure which may result in incidents or accidents leading to downtime and even fatalities. We at Royal Phoenix load testing offer dynamic brake testing to all Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) for both underground and surface usage. We use the industry renowned netBrake units which are designed to conduct Dynamic brake efficiency testing. Brake testing of the TMMs is up to class capacity of 50ton encompassing mine (underground and surface) machinery plus the truck transport industry. The NetBrake decelerometer kit is the only dynamic brake testing unit in South Africa that has the Mining & Surface Certification.

In addition, we also offer Lux/Illumination testing (light efficiency on same machinery). This is done in accordance with the mineral act regulation 5.3.1. Testing equipment in use is SABS approved and calibrated according to SANAS standards.
